Unit’s Official Attacks Sports Analyst Over Al-Nasr Case

The dispute dates back to the match between Al-Nasr and Al-Unity that took place on February 25, 2025, which ended with Al-Nasr winning 2-0. The match sparked legal controversy after Al-Nasr’s bus arrived at the stadium an hour late, prompting Al-Unity to file a legal objection demanding the match points.
During the program, Tunis criticized Hani Al-Dawood’s interpretation of the legal article related to match cancellations, considering that his analysis was inaccurate and did not rely on all the data of the match.
Tunis told Al-Dawood: “You are not an employee of the league or the refereeing committee, but just a sports analyst like others, and you should have understood the data before providing your assessment,” adding that Al-Dawood’s interpretation of Article 14 was incorrect and that it would harm Al-Unity’s interests if he responded to him.
For his part, Hani Al-Dawood responded, saying: “The article is clear and does not require a complicated interpretation, and I wish success for Al-Unity, but I did not hold a grudge against the team.”
The controversy surrounding this issue is still ongoing, as Al-Unity demands recognition of its victory due to the significant delay at the start of the match. Meanwhile, Al-Nasr secured the win on the field despite the delay.
It is worth noting that Al-Nasr is currently in third place in the Roshan Saudi League with 60 points, while Al-Unity is in 17th place, second to last, with 26 points.
