Barcelona is the closest team to signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah on a free transfer at the end of the current season.
Barcelona has had a verbal agreement with Tah for several weeks, but nothing has been officially signed yet.
The ‘Sky Germany’ network reported that if Bayer Leverkusen’s coach Xabi Alonso takes over at Real Madrid, Tah would be close to moving to the royal club.
The source added that the German defender has a strong relationship with his current coach Alonso.
It is worth mentioning that Bayern Munich has included Jonathan Tah among its targets this summer to strengthen and bolster its defense.
