Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has reached a preliminary agreement to take over the coaching of the Brazilian national team.
Romano wrote on his account on the X platform: “Carlo Ancelotti and Brazil have reached a preliminary agreement to coach the Brazilian national team in the 2026 World Cup.”
He added: “Ancelotti will begin his journey with the Brazilian national team in June, and not after the Club World Cup.”
He concluded: “Ancelotti is expected to leave Real Madrid on good terms, and only the official steps regarding his departure from the royal club remain.”
Ancelotti is expected to continue coaching Real Madrid until the end of the Spanish league, after which he will leave the team.
The royal club has not yet decided on the identity of the coach who will lead the team in the Club World Cup this summer.
