In his first comment after winning the tournament, Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona, could not hide his feelings about this great victory, stating: “This win is dedicated to all Barcelona fans around the world, I am very happy for them, whether they attended the match or are following us from all over the world.”

He added: “It was a match full of passion, competition, and high-quality football, it was a tough game, but we showed great determination and won thanks to the commitment of the players.”

He continued: “The first half was in our favor, but we couldn’t score the second goal, which allowed Madrid to come back into the match, but we rose to the challenge and played with a high team spirit.”

He went on: “Ferran, Pedri, Raphinha, Lamine, everyone performed wonderfully, it was a collective victory, controlling the midfield was key.”

He confirmed: “The team is very cohesive, all players carry a great love for Barcelona in their hearts, and we can trust their talent and great effort, we have a coach and technical staff we can be proud of.”

He pointed out: “Winning the King’s Cup gives us a strong morale boost to continue competing in the league, everything is possible, but we must keep fighting, our goal is also to win the La Liga title.”

He added: “Throughout Barcelona’s history, players from La Masia have played a significant role, these players believe in their ability to win, and they have high confidence in themselves, which translates into outstanding performance on the field.”

Regarding the Champions League competitions, Laporta expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to overcome upcoming challenges, noting that the team is ready to face Inter Milan in the Champions League, saying: “Inter Milan is a strong team, but we know we are better than them, we have confidence in our ability to achieve more successes.”

In conclusion, Laporta avoided entering into any controversy with Real Madrid, following the protests that preceded the match, stating: “We focused on the match and on delivering a strong sporting performance, we wanted to focus on football, not on other strategies, and in the end, we were the ones who won the match.”
