Como Enters the Race to Sign Kevin De Bruyne

The ambitious Italian club Como has entered the fray of clubs interested in signing Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne, following his announcement of leaving Manchester City at the end of the 2024/2025 season, as confirmed by Italian media reports.

De Bruyne, who has six Premier League titles, has become a target for many clubs in Europe, alongside significant interest from the American and Saudi leagues. Despite his recent link to Inter Milan, the new owners’ policy makes the completion of the deal unlikely due to the player’s age and the potential costs of the transfer.

On its part, Como has shown clear interest in acquiring De Bruyne, in a move that reflects its high ambitions despite making its debut in the Italian league this season after promotion from the second division.

The team is led by Spanish coach Cesc Fabregas, and the club has strengthened its squad with several strong signings such as Nico Baz, Assan Diallo, and Sergi Roberto.

It is worth mentioning that Como possesses the strongest ownership group in the Italian league with a wealth exceeding 40 billion euros, giving it significant financial capability to enter the race for signing major stars like De Bruyne.
