Chelsea Plans to Sign Napoli Star

Italian media reports have revealed that English club Chelsea is studying the possibility of signing Napoli midfielder, Cameroonian Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

According to what was published by “Football Italy”, Chelsea has already begun taking initial steps towards acquiring Anguissa, who has previous experience in the Premier League, having played with Fulham between 2018 and 2022.

Anguissa’s contract with Napoli expires in the summer of 2025, but it includes an option to extend it until 2027, which the Italian club is expected to activate to avoid losing the player for free. Nevertheless, reports indicate that the 29-year-old player may leave at the end of the next season.

In addition to Chelsea’s interest, Anguissa is also being pursued by French club Monaco, but the player does not intend to make a final decision regarding his future before the end of the current season.

Anguissa is currently engaged in a fierce battle for the Serie A title with Napoli, who are tied on points with Inter Milan at the top of the standings, with five rounds remaining in the competition.
