Fatigue Affected the Players, Recovery is Crucial Before the Final

Laurent Blanc, the head coach of Al-Ittihad, discussed his team’s qualification for the King’s Cup final after their victory over Al-Shabab in the semi-finals, noting that fatigue was a significant factor affecting the players’ performance.

Blanc stated: “The players were extremely tired; the match was physically and mentally demanding, coupled with the high temperature and humidity, which made the encounter even more challenging.”

He added: “During warm-ups, two players suffered injuries, and we did not expect them to participate. However, Al-Bishi performed well after entering the match, and I believe he will be at a better level in the upcoming game.”

He continued: “Rajkovic is dealing with a back issue and a muscle strain, and if he is not ready, we have a complete team prepared to step in, including Mohammed Al-Muhasna.”

He concluded: “I am proud of all the players, not just the starters. We need to focus now on the recovery process, as it is the most important aspect at this stage to restore the players’ fitness before the final match.”
