Real Madrid Player Faces Suspension Due to Arsenal Match

Dani Carvajal, the Real Madrid full-back, is facing the risk of a suspension for several matches following a controversial incident with Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal star, during the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Despite being absent from the match due to a serious injury he sustained last October, Carvajal was seen heading towards the tunnel leading to the locker rooms at the end of the first half, where he got into an altercation with Saka, during which he pointed at him with his finger and grabbed him by the neck.
According to Article 15 of UEFA’s disciplinary regulations, Carvajal could be punished with a one-match suspension for being in an unauthorized area, in addition to three more matches if his actions are deemed an assault on an opposing player.
However, the enforcement of the penalty depends on whether the match observer noted the incident in their official report.
