According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the match is now set to take place on Saturday, May 3, instead of Sunday, May 4, at 10 PM Cairo time, to give Barcelona more time to rest, considering the pressure of their upcoming match schedule.
This change comes after Barcelona successfully qualified for the Champions League semi-finals after overcoming Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals, winning 4-0 in the first leg and losing 3-1 in the second leg, securing a spot to face Inter Milan, who eliminated Bayern Munich.
Barcelona is scheduled to face their rival Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey on April 26, then meet Inter Milan in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals on April 30, before traveling to Giuseppe Meazza for the second leg on May 6.
Barcelona currently leads the La Liga standings with 70 points after 31 rounds, ahead of Real Madrid, who is in second place with 66 points.
