Union Opens Negotiations with Benzema for Contract Renewal

Benzema’s contract with Al-Ittihad ends in the summer of 2026, allowing him to start free negotiations in January, while the management seeks to renew his contract until 2027 to enhance the team’s technical stability.
Despite the possibility of negotiating with other clubs soon, the Al-Ittihad management wishes to keep Benzema within the club’s walls for as long as possible, relying on the impressive performance he has shown this season.
Kareem has played 26 matches, scoring 18 goals and assisting 9 others, making him an indispensable element in the Al-Ittihad squad and one of the most influential stars in the Saudi league currently.
Negotiations for the contract renewal are expected to begin after the season ends, as the management aims to extend for an additional year to benefit from Benzema’s presence in supporting the bid to host the World Cup.
