The star of the German national team, Antonio Rudiger, confirmed that he has been suffering from an injury for 7 months before deciding to undergo surgery today on his knee.
Rudiger wrote on his account on the X platform: “After playing for more than seven months while suffering from severe pain, I unfortunately had no choice but to undergo surgery on my meniscus, and now finally, I have freed myself from the pain, and the surgery was successful.”
He added: “Thanks to the medical team, I want to be able to play again as soon as possible, as I am approaching two major tournaments, the Nations League and the Club World Cup, but I have to monitor the situation week by week, and we will see.”
He concluded: “I will do my best, see you soon, and take care of yourselves.”
Rudiger is expected to be out for Real Madrid for a period of 6-8 weeks.
