Al Hilal Seeks New Record Against Al Ahli

Al Hilal is the club with the most appearances in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League since its modern format began in the 2002-2003 season, having reached this stage on nine occasions.

Al Hilal leads the ranking of clubs that have reached this stage, surpassing prominent teams such as Al Ittihad, Al Ain, and Urawa Red Diamonds.

Out of eight previous appearances in the semi-finals, Al Hilal has reached the final five times, making it the club with the highest record among clubs in the continent.

Despite its achievements, Al Hilal has faced significant setbacks, most notably losing to Zob Ahan of Iran and Al Ahli of the UAE in previous semi-final stages.

Al Hilal was also eliminated in the last edition by Al Ain, in one of the tournament’s biggest surprises.

Although it is the team that has suffered the most defeats in the semi-finals, Al Hilal excels in scoring, with its players netting 32 goals at this stage of the competition.
