Youth Club Apologizes to the Documentation Committee.. But
The decision of the documentation team to change the names of some official championships, such as reclassifying the King’s Cup to ‘League’, has escalated the crisis within the club. Fares Al-Alyani, the representative of Al-Shabab in the project, expressed his deep dissatisfaction, stating: ‘What happened is tampering and forgery of history.’ He also pointed out that the committee aimed to appease major clubs like Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr.
The president of Al-Shabab Club, Mohammed Al-Munajem, issued an official apology for Al-Alyani’s statements, emphasizing that the remarks were not made within the framework of official dealings. However, Al-Munajem affirmed his support for the club’s positions, noting that Al-Shabab always seeks to protect its rights through legal channels.
In his statements, Al-Munajem clarified that the club feels it has not been treated fairly in documenting the 47 championships it has achieved throughout its history. He also confirmed that many members of the General Assembly who supported the documentation mechanism represent clubs in lower divisions that have not significantly contributed to the history of Saudi football.
In conclusion, Al-Munajem called on the documentation committee to conduct a comprehensive review of the results, emphasizing the need to rely on experts in this field. He also pointed out that voting on the documentation results could expose the club to losing any future lawsuits in this regard.
