The Return of Metai Boosts Union’s Chances Against Victory in the League

Metai has been absent from the pitch since his injury during the match against Al-Shabab on January 22, where he underwent precise surgery on his lower abdominal muscles in London, and then continued his rehabilitation period later in the city of Jeddah.
Metai made his presence in a match on March 13, but he did not complete the game due to new pains, which forced the medical staff to handle his gradual return to matches with caution.
Since joining the Union from Lokomotiv Moscow, Metai has played 14 matches with the team and contributed to scoring one goal, having participated in a total of 17 matches across all competitions.
The Union leads the Saudi league standings with 68 points from 29 matches, 6 points ahead of Al-Hilal, while Victory is in third place with 60 points, making the upcoming match crucial in the title race.
The Union, led by coach Laurent Blanc, hopes to capitalize on the readiness of its players, especially Metai, to take another important step toward winning the long-awaited title when they face Victory at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.
