The Disciplinary Committee Issues Its Ruling on Al-Wehda’s Appeal Against Al-Nassr

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation confirmed its final rejection of Al-Wehda’s protest against Al-Nassr, following the latter’s delay in arriving for the match kickoff in Round 22 of the Roshan League.

Al-Wehda submitted an official protest claiming that Al-Nassr was late to arrive, which caused a full hour delay in the start of the match, as stated by the committee.

The committee had previously issued a decision to reject the protest, prompting Al-Wehda to file an official appeal against the decision, but it was rejected again.

In its official statement, the committee clarified that Al-Wehda did not comply with the required formal procedures according to Article (1/2/137) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.

The committee added that the decision included returning the case for reconsideration, and after reviewing the reasons for the appeal, the committee found no justification to change its initial decision.

The final statement confirmed that the protest was rejected on formal grounds and that the protest fees were permanently forfeited in favor of the Saudi Football Federation.

The committee emphasized that the issued decision remains subject to appeal again in accordance with Article (144) of the applicable Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.
