Referee for the Barcelona vs Inter Milan Match in the Champions League

French referee Clément Turpin has been appointed to officiate the match between Barcelona and Inter Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, scheduled for Wednesday at the Montjuïc Stadium.

Turpin will be assisted by Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pages as assistants, while François Letexier will be the fourth official, and Jérôme Brisard and Willy Delagoud will oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) duties.

Turpin, who is 42 years old, is one of the prominent referees in European football, having officiated many major matches in the Champions League and the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, as well as numerous matches in Euro 2021 and 2024. Among the notable matches he officiated is the 2022 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Turpin has officiated Barcelona on several occasions, the latest being on February 20, 2023, in their loss to Manchester United in the Europa League. As for Inter, he faced them on August 9, 2012, in their loss to Hajduk Split, while one of their notable victories under his officiating was their win against Milan in the 2023 Champions League semi-finals.
