Former Al-Nassr Star Attacks Player and Demands Exclusion

Fahd Al-Harifi, the former Al-Nassr star, continues to attack some players of the team in provocative statements, drawing sharp criticism from the club’s fans. This time, he directed his criticisms towards the Portuguese Otavio Monteiro and the Spanish Emerick Laporte, indicating the need for immediate changes if the team wishes to compete for titles.

In his talk on the “Sports Scope” program, Al-Harifi confirmed that Otavio does not have a real role in Al-Nassr’s lineup. He explained that the Portuguese player does not provide the necessary contribution either in his original position as a playmaker or in any other position like the wing, pointing out that he lacks speed and the ability to create decisive opportunities, which puts the team in a difficult position.

The criticism did not stop at Otavio, as Al-Harifi also directed sharp criticism towards the Spanish defender Emerick Laporte, asserting that he will not be part of Al-Nassr’s lineup next season. Al-Harifi stated that Laporte is not at the same level as players capable of delivering the required performance, highlighting that the French defender Mohamed Simakan proved his worth in a shorter time than Laporte.

Al-Harifi’s criticisms also extend to the Italian coach Stefano Pioli, where he pointed out that the team suffers from a lack of a clear tactical approach and relies mainly on individual solutions from the players. Al-Harifi expressed his deep concern about facing Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League semi-finals, emphasizing that the Japanese team has a distinct tactical discipline.

Despite the internal criticisms, Al-Nassr continues its strong campaign in the AFC Champions League, having successfully qualified for the semi-finals after eliminating Yokohama F. Marinos with a score of 4-1. With the upcoming match against Kawasaki Frontale, the team’s challenges will be greater than ever, increasing the pressure on the players and the coaching staff.
