Aston Villa Rejects Tottenham’s Request to Reschedule Match

Tottenham had requested to move the match to Thursday, May 15, in anticipation of qualifying for the Europa League final, which will take place three days after their match against Villa, as the London club seeks enough time to prepare in case they reach the final match.
However, the BBC confirmed that Aston Villa objected to the request, pointing out that the team has been struggling with a busy schedule throughout the season due to their participation in the Champions League and the FA Cup, having played matches every 3 or 4 days during the month of April.
The report also clarified that the match against Tottenham is the last home game for Aston Villa this season, and it includes family and promotional events that were planned in advance, which cannot be executed if the match is held in the evening.
It is worth noting that the Premier League has no precedents for changing match dates to support clubs participating in European competitions.
