Imad Al-Salmi Recommends Koller to Coach One of the Top Clubs in Roshan League
Koller is currently facing public anger after Al-Ahli was eliminated from the African Champions League.
Al-Ahli exited the tournament after drawing with Sundowns 1-1 in the second leg of the semi-finals on Friday.
There are currently expectations for Koller to leave for one of the major Gulf clubs following the achievements he has made with the team.
Imad Al-Salmi stated, during his appearance on MBC Action channel in the program “Action with Walid”: “Marcel Koller is a great coach who can coach the big clubs in the Saudi league that compete, a club from the investment fund clubs, and he deserves it because he is a great coach who has achieved accomplishments and results with Al-Ahli, and most importantly, his personality, as he is capable of managing any player on the field.”
When asked which of the two clubs needs him more, Al-Hilal or Al-Nassr, Al-Salmi replied: “Al-Hilal… If Jesus leaves, then Koller would be an excellent option.”
He added: “I believe that Marcel Koller will only accept to work with big clubs because he is a very big name and has achieved great accomplishments with Al-Ahli.”
Al-Salmi concluded his statements regarding the possibility of him coaching Al-Ahli Saudi by saying: “Yes, he is one of the most important names, and I advise to contract with this coach.”
