French coach Laurent Blanc is contemplating holding a friendly match or settling for an internal training match, taking advantage of the long break that lasts up to 17 days away from official matches.

This unusual period between the rounds comes due to the participation of Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Nassr in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League, which has affected the Saudi league schedule.

The Al-Ittihad team resumed its collective training on Saturday, following a four-day break that Blanc granted the players after the thrilling victory over Al-Ettifaq with a score of 3-2 in Round 29 of the Roshan League.

Blanc aims to maintain the team’s physical and technical rhythm to ensure optimal preparation for the anticipated match against Al-Nassr, which will take place on May 7 as part of the league competition.

The Al-Ittihad coach seeks to make the most of this break to ensure his players’ technical and physical readiness, especially since the upcoming match against Al-Nassr will be crucial for the team’s season.
