Bayern Munich achieved a valuable victory against its rival Mainz with a score of 3-0 in the match that brought the two teams together in the 31st round of the German Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich opened the scoring through German star Leroy Sané in the 27th minute, while Michael Olise scored the second goal in the 40th minute.
The Bavarian club was not satisfied with this result and continued its attempts on Mainz’s goal until the third goal came in the 85th minute through Eric Dier.
With this precious victory, Bayern Munich strengthened its lead in the Bundesliga standings with 75 points, while Mainz’s tally remained at 47 points in seventh place.
