Real Madrid Club has officially denied recent reports that claimed it is considering withdrawing from the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona tomorrow, Saturday.

The royal club stated: “In light of the rumors that have emerged in recent hours, Real Madrid announces that it has never considered withdrawing from tomorrow’s final.”

It added: “Our club understands that the unfortunate and inappropriate statements made by the referees appointed for this match, which were issued 24 hours before the final, cannot tarnish a sporting event of global importance that will be watched by hundreds of millions of people. We also respect all the fans planning to travel to Seville, and all those already present in the Andalusian capital.”

It concluded: “Real Madrid believes that the values of football must prevail, despite the hostility and hatred that have reappeared today against our club from the referees appointed for the final match.”
