English Competition for Brighton’s Goalkeeper

Reports indicate that Manchester United and West Ham United are closely following Brighton’s young goalkeeper Karl Rushworth in anticipation of signing him during the summer transfer market.

Although the 23-year-old Rushworth has not yet made any official appearances for Brighton’s first team, he has proven his worth during loan spells, excelling with Hull City in the Championship, as well as having successful stints with Swansea City and Lincoln City in previous seasons.

Reports have revealed Manchester United’s interest in acquiring the young keeper, as the club seeks to provide competition for their goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is facing challenges in his position. Additionally, West Ham United is considering Rushworth as an option to strengthen their goalkeeper position with young talent.

While Rushworth may not yet be ready to become the starting goalkeeper for either club, his presence would enhance their options in that position, highlighting both teams’ needs to meet the requirements for homegrown players in the Premier League.
