It seems that Aston Villa is close to permanently signing the Spanish star, Marco Asensio during the summer transfer window, with Marcus Rashford’s chances in the team diminishing.
Villa had previously acquired both Asensio and Rashford on loan last January, with the former coming from Paris Saint-Germain and the latter from Manchester United until the end of the current season.
According to ‘CaughtOffside’, Aston Villa’s management is prioritizing a permanent deal for Asensio, while Rashford is expected to return to Manchester United, despite his impressive performance with the team during the loan period.
Despite the positive performance of the English star, coach Unai Emery seems more convinced of building the team’s project around Asensio in the long term, while Rashford’s name has been linked to transfers to other clubs like Tottenham.
