Aston Villa seems close to permanently signing Spanish star Marco Asensio during the summer transfer window, while Marcus Rashford’s chances of staying with the team are diminishing.
Villa had signed both Asensio and Rashford on loan last January, with the former coming from Paris Saint-Germain and the latter from Manchester United until the end of the current season.
According to the “CaughtOffside” website, Aston Villa’s management is prioritizing a permanent deal for Asensio, while Rashford is expected to return to Manchester United, despite his impressive performance with the team during his loan.
Despite the positive performance of the English star, coach Unai Emery seems more convinced about building the team’s project around Asensio in the long term, while Rashford’s name has been linked with moves to other clubs like Tottenham.
