The Spanish club Real Ávila announced today, Thursday, the official appointment of Victor Valdés, the former Barcelona goalkeeper, as the team’s coach until the end of the current season and the next season.
Valdés has previous coaching experience in Barcelona’s academy and youth teams, which enhances the club’s hopes of benefiting from his technical vision and extensive experience in the upcoming phase.
Real Ávila confirmed in its statement that the current coaching staff will remain intact to maintain technical stability and balance within the team.
Real Ávila is currently in fourth place in Group One of the Spanish Second Division, a position that qualifies for promotion to the Spanish First Division.
