Shobair said in radio statements: “Yesterday, Ahmed Abdelkader, the star of Al-Ahly, contacted me through one of his close friends to explain and clarify the nature of the injury he suffered from.”
He added: “Of course, Abdelkader wants to participate with Al-Ahly in the Club World Cup, and the World Cup is supposed to take place on June 15, and we are currently on April 24, so if he is going to be absent for two months, he won’t make it to the World Cup.”
Shobair continued: “Ahmed Abdelkader told me that what was said about my injury and my absence for two months is not correct, and he said he has only one month left and he will return to the pitch again.”
He clarified: “I hope Ahmed Abdelkader recovers, and things go well so we can reassure him as soon as possible.”
