We Faced a Strong Team and Were Not Decisive in Front of Goal

Igor Tudor, the head coach of Juventus, expressed his dissatisfaction with his team’s performance following the 1-0 defeat against Parma in the match that brought the two teams together in the Italian league.

Tudor said: “We missed a lot today. In the second half, we pressed, but we lacked real danger. The first half was in favor of Parma; they were better than us in the second balls.”

He added: “We conceded a goal from a cross that was 40 meters long, and that is unacceptable at this level. We feel disappointed, but we must move forward. There are still five matches and many points to play for.”

Tudor addressed the circumstances surrounding the match, saying: “Yes, we faced some problems, but we do not use them as excuses. We must adapt and continue to work. Parma is a strong team, and if the match had ended 1-1, we would have felt it was more just given our performance in the second half.”

The Juventus coach confirmed that his team lacked decisiveness in front of goal, explaining: “We pressed and created chances, but we were not decisive. We lacked efficiency in the final third. We send many balls into the area, but we do not convert them into goals, and that is the difference.”

Tudor concluded his statements by saying: “We need to be more aggressive in front of goal. It is not enough just to participate; we must believe in our ability to score and play with an attacking mentality. If we do not score, staying in front of the goal for hours will not benefit us.”
