According to media reports, the medical staff at Al-Ittihad has established a special training program to prepare Bergwijn during the break in local competitions for the elite AFC Champions League matches.
Bergwijn is implementing his special training program at the club despite the players being granted a 4-day rest during the short break.
It is worth noting that Bergwijn injured his ankle while participating against Riyadh in the 25th round of the Saudi League.
