Reus Approaches Return to Borussia Dortmund

Reus, who completed his playing career with Dortmund last summer after 12 years of brilliance, had moved to Los Angeles Galaxy in a new step, with his current contract extending until 2026.
Nevertheless, it seems that Reus’s return to Dortmund in a representative role is on the horizon, as the club seeks to capitalize on his immense popularity in the United States, especially with the upcoming participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Carsten Cramer, the executive director of Dortmund, confirmed that the club intends to bring in someone currently playing in the American league, a clear reference to Reus, who has expressed on several occasions a desire to return to the club in an administrative or representative position.
This step is part of Dortmund’s strategy for international expansion and marketing, as the club aims to enhance its presence in global markets, primarily the American market, and German media reported that talks between the two parties are at an advanced stage.
