Bukayo Saka, the star of English club Arsenal, expressed his great happiness at his team’s qualification for the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Real Madrid 2-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinals at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, allowing the Gunners to win 5-1 on aggregate and set up a fiery clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals.

Saka said: “We showed our ability to play in Europe and to win against one of the best teams in the world, whether at home or away. I am very proud of this team and what it has shown in terms of performance and character in both matches.”

Regarding the missed penalty during the match, the English star commented: “These things happen in football. I tried to score, but the ball didn’t go in. I was confident in my ability to score tonight, but the most important thing is that we qualified.”

Saka pointed out that he is continuously learning from every experience he goes through, saying: “I learn every moment. Tonight I will focus on enjoying the victory, and then I will go back to review all the details later.”

Saka talked about Arsenal’s tactical performance in the match: “We were good defensively, positioned excellently in low areas, and it required a lot of effort and running, but we succeeded in executing our plan.”

Regarding the upcoming clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals, he said: “They are a completely different team, and I see them playing with greater confidence at this stage. We will be well prepared, and I expect it to be a great match.”
