The German defender of Bayer Leverkusen, Jonathan Tah, announced his departure from the team at the end of the current season, following the expiration of his contract with the club.
Tah stated in remarks made to the German newspaper “Kicker”: “Everything has been said from the beginning, and at some point, I made the decision not to extend my contract and not to stay here.”
He concluded, referring to not having determined his next destination yet: “It will remain this way for now.”
The German defender has been linked with several clubs, most notably Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and several English clubs.
