Inzaghi Comments on Inter Milan’s Loss to Bologna

The head coach of Inter Milan, Simone Inzaghi, commented on his team’s loss to Bologna with a score of 1-0 in the match that brought the two teams together in the 33rd round of the Italian league for the 2024/2025 season.

Inzaghi said: “There was some tension due to the last throw-in that was executed about 12 or 13 meters from its correct position, but honestly, we should not use the throw-in as an excuse; the referee managed the match as best as possible.”

He added: “Of course, there is disappointment with the result, but the team did what it was supposed to do; the ball should not have reached Orsolini in that moment, yet we faced the attacks and responded to every ball. But let me emphasize that the league does not end in Bologna; the players need to stay calm.”

Inzaghi concluded his statements: “My players are true professionals, and they will realize that mistakes happen; we should have defended better on the play that led to the goal. As for the injuries, we hope to recover Thuram, Zielinski, and Dumfries as soon as possible.”
